    Question feeding tank?

I moved my snake to a 20 L monday.now I have the 10 gal. empty.I was thinking of making that his feeding tank since I have cypress mulch in his "living" tank.(dont want him to get that in his mouth when he is feeding)

so,how do I handle him.i guess I want to know how do I take him out of the "feeding" tank and back into his living tank w/o getting bite?

    Any and all tips,please.
Its been over 16 years since I have had to take care of a snake and I want to make sure I do everything correct. If I had not taken this snake, it would have been killed.

Well I'm not really experienced with boas, I only have a Brazilian Rainbow, but you could try using a hook if you don't wanna get bit.
I do it that way with my Carpet Pythons.
If you don't wanna do it that way I would suggest wearing gloves if you think he's gonna bite.

Thank you! He's never tried to bite me (I've had him/her 3 1/2 weeks)

If it's a baby, you can always use the tongs to keep the head away from you as you pick it up from the tail. Other than that, there are always snake hooks. I don't feed in a seperate enclosure (I use newspaper), do I don't have much more than that.

With some of my more ornery bloods, I use a Carhartt coat and leather gloves. Works like a charm. I personally am not a huge fan of hooks on larger snakes.

You could cover the eating area with a paper towel? I've read that other members do this...
Two of mine eat from their branches and the other eats on the ground but I have paper as substrate with an aspen area for her burrowing needs/wants
