    candling an egg

I have my first viable clutch. I was just wondering if there was any time during the incubation cycle where if you candle the egg instead of just seeing the veins you could actually see the bearded dragsons body start to develop. Im on day 22 right now.

I have never candled beardie eggs but I am sure you will see them as they develop. You just want to be sure to keep the top sides up and not roll them around. I recommend marking the tops with a pencil(or something non toxic, I use a grease pencil)) that way you dont loose sight of where the top is. Thats why I just dont mess with them. They are so little(compared to BP eggs)

It may be hard to distinguish. I'm not sure how big beardie eggs are compared to leopard gecko eggs. I know at points in the leo eggs you can see more of a gecko shaped blob, but it can be very difficult to make out. At any rate, you do see the darker areas get bigger.
