    Re: probe placement for thermostat

You put the thermoMETER probe on the substrate on the warm side (pref. under the warm side hide) and the probe of the thermoSTAT flush against the underside of the UTH.

are you using a tank or a tub?

If you are using a tank, what is the Thermostat controling? ( A CHE or a UTH?)

i would tape the thermostat probe on top of the flexwatt so that it is sandwiched between the flexwatt and the bottom of the enclosure.

    Re: probe placement for thermostat

I tape my stat probes directly to the underside of the UTH under the tank. I used to have them between UTH and glass, but it didn't work as well for me.
