Need New Place to Order Rats
Hi there...I have not been on in a while.
I am looking for a good humane place to order my snakes food -- my old place closed. It is important to me to know they are feed quality food and killed in a nice fashion... one of those bleeding hearts for my girls food too...she eats prekill. I try to order in bulk.
Suggestions?????
Afraid to just blindly order....so came here for you guys as this is the place that helped me learn so much when I got her two years ago...she is growing and beautiful!
Also...I was feeding her small rats before the winter fasting began....she is about 43 inches long and fatest part is about 5 inches....size suggestion before ordering would be so helpful too!
Thanks guys...hope everyones babies are doing great!!!

Re: Need New Place to Order Rats
I don't feed anything larger than small rats even to my breeders, as far as ordering bulk after ordering from several companies I would recommend American Rodents Supply http://www.americanrodent.com/welcome.html

Re: Need New Place to Order Rats
thanks you guys...two places look great....I will contact them!
good about the size...I have been feeding her small rats now but wanted to make sure that is good for her. they are not too big considering her size right??? she is 43 inches long, 5 inches at the biggest point around, and 2 & 1/2 years old (I had to think about that). Is she growing as expected?
I try to not overfeed but feed her about once a week and really go off of what she wants. If she hangs out and waits for another then I thaw it out and give it to her but if she goes into her hut then I figure she is full for now.
I want her to grow up healthy and grow old with me!

Re: Need New Place to Order Rats
The Mouse Factory. They are the very best place for rats; I've not ordered mice. I have also ordered from Big Cheese and their rodents pale by comparison

Don't order from rodent pro thats for sure! Nothing but broken nasty rats and mice!! I found the price from BCRs to be the cheapest, and the best quality rodents around. This was just a thought. But any of the choices above are great suppliers.

Re: Need New Place to Order Rats
Big Cheese does have great prices and that was the reason that I ordered from them this time. I guess I am spoiled by the amazing cleanliness of Mouse Factory's rodents and that they seem more plumped out than Big Cheese. The next time I order I don't know what I'm going to do; maybe work harder and go back to the Mouse Factory...

Re: Need New Place to Order Rats
I just ordered from big cheese...the american rodent place looks great but they did not reply in 3 days so gave up on them. Did not look at the mouse factory.
Right now...I think she would eat anything. She ate two (her last two in the fridge) -- and wants more. Last summer...two was her max. So ... she has some on the way in two days....that is good. She is out of fasting and in eat eat eat mode....I worry about overfeeding her but inthe past she has always just gone and slept when she was full.....so hope this is right.
