    Animal Plastics T10

For those of you who have animal plastics T10 or comparable cages, do you use the sliding doors or swing doors? I like the idea of the sliding doors but I am worried about the grooves being difficult to clean. The idea of the sliding doors seems better to me just because you can get a little more access. The drawback would be that I would need a lock on the cage then whereas with the swing doors a lock is not needed to keep them closed. Any input?

I've used both & favor the sliding glass doors. If you're worried about cleaning the tracks, canned air and/or a shop vac work very well. The doors are easy to take out for heavy duty cleaning.

If you're worried about locks, just get the lock option that AP offers on the T-10's - it's a nice lock & works very well!

Cool, thanks! I was leaning towards the sliding glass doors. Now I just have to drop some money for two of those and a Herpstat Pro. Yay lol.

Definitely get the sliding glass! Just got my 1st AP cage, and I am impressed! BTW the tracks for the glass are kind of outside the cage. The tracks will never really get substrate on them.

I got the sliding doors on mine. However, with the gall bladder surgery and vacation, I still haven't gotten to putting it together yet.

i got swing doors, and i like them a lot. i don't know if it really makes a difference. but i REALLY like the locks that you can get. the little plastic notches just don't seem like they'd hold up after a few years. definately get the locks!
