I know its a day late but just wanted to share what has been the best fathers day present so far. I've only been a father for 1.5 years. Anyway here is the striped mojave male that went missing in my car. I brought this guy home from the local reptile show here and he escaped his snake bag 5 minutes before I got home.
On the way home from the show I tried to keep my eyes on him as often as I can and the moment my eyes were off he got loose. After searching him for hours I couldn't find him. I left traps for him (small container with a rat pink inside with a small opening for him to get into and harder for him to get in with a full belly). Left a 48 hour heat pack every 2 days in his hide. Checked every night for a month and then every so often afterwards.
After 3 months I considered him a lost cause. Well while I was cleaning out my garage on fathers day I was moving a garbage bag full of old sod and there he was. Snuggled in the dirt and grass. Surprisingly he hasn't lost much weight and seems perfectly healthy with no RI.
He's in quarantine for the next 3 months but I'm expecting him to be fine. Here's a pic of him. Thanks for looking.
