Is 1 foot of 11 inch flexwatt too much for a juvenile BP in a tub?

I have a feeling I ordered too large of a size. Is it safe to cut the tape into a smaller size after I receive it? I ordered this pre-wired from reptilebasics.com with a thermostat.

I seem to remember that the 11 inch shouldn't be cut down smaller than a foot.

Can't you just place it so that the tub is only partially on it untill the time comes for a larger enclosure?

You can't cut it down, but it will be fine. Just do what del said.
