My Last Clutch of the Season

Well, long anticipated, and Sierra laid on Day 32. I was never able to get a good count of eggs and now I know why. Four good eggs and two slugs. One slug has one very light vein, so I'll incubate them until they go bad.

Also the egg in the front had something on the top of the egg and when I candled it and had a hard time finding veins, I realized it was the paper that she had laid them on, so I figured she turned it at some point, so I put paper side down and then got nice strong veins. I'm hoping I did the right thing turning it over, since it was hard to see veins originally (and the paper was just like thin fibers fromthe paper), but when I turned them, they were nice and strong.

STOVE SHOT!!!!!! Congrats on that clutch Robin, I can't wait for my first clutch. I know you are going to be hatching some cool Ball Pythons in the near future with that collection you have, just remember your boy (me) when they hatch, lol.

Thanks Deb! Wish there weren't any slugs - but it happens.

    Congrats on the eggs!

Not that I know anything about it, but it sounds like you did the right thing turning that egg over to the way it must have been before.

Thanks! I'll be keeping an eagle eye on that egg, that's for sure! And fingers crossed that "maybe" I'll have a case of "stranger things have happened" with the slugs!

Thanks Jamie - just hoping for some nice ratios right now. If not a girl this year, then maybe next, as I do hope to hold back some girls! But I'm not counting my lemons before they hatch!
