What do you keep your BP Thermostat set at?

    Hey everyone,
Well the title basically says it all. Now I know everyone has their own opinion and whatever works best for them is great. I was just curious to see what the majority of users have their thermostat set it.

I set mine based on the temp needed inside the enclosure. If that shifts (with the seasons) then the stat temp gets adjusted.

This is done regularly on my ReptiTemp stats.

Both sides of the tub, not so much the snake.

Since it's a laser, not a good idea to aim it at any living thing. Use temp guns to measure the surface temp of the warm and cool sides, usually under the hides.

Re: What do you keep your BP Thermostat set at?

I set my T-stat at 95 on one rack, and 100 on the other, but the tubs don't get that hot. I use a temp gun in the tubs to get them as close to 92 as possible, on the hot spot.

My helix is set at 97 on my racks. that keeps the tubs at 92-90 hot and 80-85 cool.

Actaully, with exception of the eye, it's perfectly fine to put the laser on anything you want.

This is what I do too. Right now mine is at 100. To get a good hot spot inside the tubs.

My basement is on the cooler side so I have to set my thermostat to 105 to get the right gradient. When I use my temp gun I usually check the hot side, cool side, and sometimes the snake.
