Ramekins & Deli Cups as Water Bowls

I just ordered 48 - 4 oz ramekins to use as hatchling water bowls. What size deli cups should I buy for them. This is probably a stupid question, becasue it is probably 4 oz deli cups, but I just want to be sure before I order them.

Also, what is the best place to order the deli cups. Thanks.

....Booooooooo....I know everyone uses them...but buy bowls, wash them, and reuse them....help the environment out that much more....is it neccessary to create that much waste just for a water bowl....?

I know I may get flamed, and I have visited breeders with a large number of snakes...and understand the 'convenience' but can you imagine all the little plastic deli cups the herp world goes thru just to get out of washing a water bowl?

    ....too me....silly.

LOL, I didn't even think about that. They are very convienent though. Think about never, well almost never, having to clean water bowls again. Just toss the bowl once a week and add a new one.

At this point I don't use deli cups, but may switch over. I am going to try them out with the hatchlings, and see how they work out.

I use the deli cups with my 6 and 15 qt tubs and I love them makes cleaning day so much better. The easiest thing would have been to buy the deli cups then find bowls to fit them.

    Just me two cents

I use ramekins for all my snakes and wash them by hand.

I bag them in a different bag after dumping them and turn them in the local recycle place.

    Yea Ed!!!!! Doing your part!!!!
But it still takes a lot of energy to make them and the plants put out a lot of pollution. We breath all of that pollution that we have outsourced to China. Remember, air currents travel round the globe....so I'll stick with washing.....

I use ramekins and other crocks for water. I didn't use to use the inserts, but it became such a LONG drawn out process to give water, I had to switch (imagine an hour just to do water??- Yeah...)

I do plan on recycling them for sure though, as I do have a guilty concience when it comes to the planet.. Save it for the children!!
