    PigsNPython's First Eggs!!!

Hello everyone! I am so excited, and the eggs aren't even mine! Anyway, here is the story. I am a college student, and my roommate (PigsNPythons) and I have had ball pythons for a while now. We have gone our separate ways for the summer- I came home to work at a Veterinary Clinic and she got to move to the beach for an internship. Unfortunately for her, she does not have reliable internet access where she is living this summer. To make a long story short, we have both been waiting eagerly for her largest female to lay eggs. She ovulated sometime back in the spring, and we have been eagerly anticipating eggs since she had her post ovvy shed 27 days ago. This morning as I am getting up for work, I received a text message with this image (Sorry for the quality, it is a cell phone shot):

Needless to say my morning was made!!!

She was still laying when the picture was taken, and by the time PigsNPythons got home from work there were five perfect looking eggs. The entire clutch weighed 507 grams, and she reports that all the eggs look healthy (though they haven't been candled yet). She will post some more pictures to this thread this weekend while she is on a trip home, but she wanted to share the good news, and to thank everyone for their help. We have both gotten so much information from this site and its wonderfully helpful members. The eggs are safely tucked away in the incubator, now we only have to wait! I am sure it will be worse for her, since she had them right there!

    Re: PigsNPython's First Eggs!!!

Thanks everybody! The egg are indeed already in the incubator. I can't believe I forgot to mention the pairing. She was bred to a mojave male and to a spider male, so it will be a waiting game to see which snake turns out to be the 'baby daddy.' I will try to convince PigsNPythons to post some pictures of the prospective daddies if she ever gets to a spot with some internet access. I don't think I have any pictures of them on my computer...
