Feeding help???
OK so I still have not been able to get my 1700g WC Yellowbelly female to feed. Was considering selling her to someone that has had experience with WC BP's. My WC male is not having any problems feeding. I have not done anything different other than offereing the female some hides and crumpled up newspaper to hide in and she still will not feed. I have offered her mice and rats and nothing. She stikes but wont feed .
I am contemplating taking her in to the vet to get her checked out to make sure that there isn't anything wrong with her.
Are there any other tricks I could try that you anyone on here can give me to try and get her to eat??

Re: Feeding help???
ASFRs, smaller prey items, bigger prey items... smaller tub, bigger tub, lots of hides, no hide..
Lots of different things to try

Re: Feeding help???
well she is a 1700g snake and I had here in a 32Q tub and then switched her to a 41q tub. I could go back to the 32q wit out a hide. it is a darker tubset up then the one she has.
I have tried all the way from large mice to hoppers and ret pups to med/large rats. I could try an ASFr but don't know where I could get one.

Re: Feeding help???
I would stick with the 32 for now.
How often do you try and feed, and how long have you had her?
Acclimation can take a bit of time too, so maybe you aren't waiting long enough?

Re: Feeding help???
I have had her several months now. I usually try once a week.
I will mover her back to the 32q for now and give her a hide to play with.

Re: Feeding help???
I would move her back to the smaller container, give her a hide and add some crumpled newspaper...might help her feel more secure.
(I've never worked with WC animals though).
