    yawning?

I've noticed when I hold Isis my colombian red tail, she occasionally opens her mouth part way like she's going to yawn but she never does a full yawn. Is she trying to hiss? Yawn?

No, as long as there's nothing wrong with her...she's just realigning her jaw, so Yes-she is yawning.

Repeatedly though? For example, we took her out this morning and she did this "yawn" about three times, and she ate two days ago.

Without more detail and/or a video clip, there's not much I can say to help you out. I'm sorry. Take her to the vet for a check up just to be safe.

    Re: yawning?

My BP has been doing something like that lately, except he recovered from a RI 3 months ago, I heard a little whistling but its like i hear it and it stops for a few hours, and I spent all my mony on th last vet visit, litteraly. I'm only 13, the only way I could get him was if i promised to pay for every thing, so m i no thi sis kinda off topic, but how long should I wait before i no for sure if he has an RI before I go get a prescription.

    Re: yawning?

My fiance said Isis was making a weird sound but when I held her I didn't hear anything. I will attempt to get a video. She's been to the vet already for a bump near her tail, but the vet didn't check for RI. How do they check?

    Re: yawning?

I didn't hear her do this, but my fiance heard her make a clicking sound almost like a pop when she was breathing. Should we be concerned? We are taking her out now to see if she is still making that sound and I'm going to see if I can hear it.

    Re: yawning?

I hear no sounds coming from her but she keeps opening her mouth slightly. Its like a suppressed yawn where she only opens her mouth slightly. I couldn't get video because my camera died while I was trying and the video was super blurry anyway.
