lighting (dumb question)
you guys will probably think that this is a dumb question but Im kind of confused. I have a light (red) that only gives out heat, for the warm side (92F).
-Do I need an other light for the day (just for lighting, not heat) or can I leave the setup as it is.
-If I do need a light to represent daytime can I get one that wont influence the temp.

Re: lighting (dumb question)
I don't use any 'other' lights (besides my red light) as my office where I keep all my reptiles have many cages setup on a timer and once those turn on there's enough light for my snakes to know it daytime.
As far as I know BP don't need any type of UV lighting. They just need to have a light cycle.

Re: lighting (dumb question)
Hi,
I don't think you need to add a daylight lamp. If you want to then wouldn't it be possible to use the strip lights for fishtanks a little away from the tank?

Be careful having your tank next to your window. If enough light comes in it can overheat your tank causing some issues. Just monitor the temps closely.

Re: lighting (dumb question)
I have a daylight blue light for during the day and an infrared light on all the time. I have the daylight bulb set on a timer so I don't need to worry about the sleeping patterns. I feel I need to have it because I have covers over my windows to keep the bright lights out. I can't stand the brightness inside.
