They might never O. The female needs to be in her reproductive cycle. I have had girls lock and never drop eggs or ovulate because they werent cycling.

So In my opinion theter isnt a definate time. Even when building follicles they could reabsorb theier follicles and never ovulate. There is a little more involved than 2 snakes locking up.

Thanks for the link Connie, I have had it stored in favorites forever lol.. its a great read. It just didnt give me a window of time to expect her to start building, ovulating, exc. I was just curious if anyone has figured out what the typical grey window is..

West Coast, I understand that there is more to it.. I have done alot of reading and talking to the breeder we work with on numerous times. I was just wondering if there was an expected time span if things went perfectly..

Well think of it this way.. people start putting them together in Oct-Nov.... We start to see ovulations in May-June... July and August are babies...

    Re: from lock to O

I've only been pairing my snakes since January and have already gotten ovulations from 3 girls and eggs from one. It all depends on if your females like you or not They can take their time, or they can develop quickly.

Learning how to feel follicles and be able to guage what stage they are at, is very important.
