    Multiple species mix.

Ok, totally new to the site. Unsure if I'm posting right, but I need help. I have a female ball python, about 8 months, and a male burmese, maybe 2 to 3 months. My female is really calm and sweet, very tolerant of most people and other snakes. My burmese is fine with my ball python (he's crawled around her backside a few times), but I've never let her head get close to him for fear of striking. She was grumpy when I got him do to hunger, so I didn't introduce them then. I don't know if I can introduce them now. They're both too small for me to tie their mouths shut for a moment, without struggle or some help from someone. I introduced them through the glass but the burmese didn't know how to look through it and the ball was quite interested. What do you think? Should I leave them separate, or see if the ball will tolerate the burmese while they are still similar in size?

Ummmmm OK! Why do you want them to be together? Leave them seperated at all times...

Snakes being solitary creatures for the most part, I don't see why you would want them to put them together. If it's just a matter of having them both out at the same time I'd think you'd have someone else there with you to control one snake and you'd have the other.

Though I doubt they would bite each other (unless it was a feeding response) I personally don't let my snakes interact unless they're breeding.

Snakes are not herd animals, or like to socialize. The burm will get 13+ft (I hope you know) and the ball 4-5. Huge size difference. They are from two different areas in the world. I bet you have a hot rock in the cage too? They army cuddling either, just showing dominance. And your ball doesn't do good with other snakes, there not like dogs. Good luck!

I'm guessing that this is a put on intended to get some people fired up. If not, the OP has found the right place to learn about keeping snakes.

As you can tell by what we are all saying that's not good for them.

No, this was not intended to get people fired up. I didn't expect it to at all. It's a simple question. I'm not oblivious to how to keep or care for my snakes, thank you. I know how big each gets and that they are completely different. I know snakes do not require a companion, as well. I think the rude comments are unnecessary. I didn't appreciate the comment of how my snake "doesn't get along with others", either. You don't know my snake and don't know what she does or anything about her. Sure, she's still a snake, but all are different in some way or another. I simply didn't know if they would get a long because some species do and some don't.
