    Sometimes snakes will bleed a tiny bit after shedding. As long as it's not gushing blood or anything he should be fine. You always could take him to the vet if you think it's serious enough though.

    is there anything borderline sharp in his tank even plastic container if you push your finger over it and could get a paper cut ? I know my BP did that to his head his last shed it was a plastic container thats been in there from the start their new skin is so soft it doesn't take much if you find something get a piece of sandpaper and round the edge smooth
    and keep and eye on it for infection

    Re: A Shedding Question

    Hi,

    Is it possible to get either a nice close up pic of this or a slightly better description?

    Is it just a littler blood that has come from the vent or, as your first post makes it seem, a larger area seems to be affected?

    All that he has it's his hiding half log, but is his second shed since I bought him, and the first time everything went fine, just that he shed in pieces, but didn't bleed at all

    Well, the first time that I noticed that he would shed, his belly and the last part of it, they looked extremely red, that I thought that could be a thermal burn, ( heat pad), but after that, the eyecaps turned blue, so I thought, well that it was because for the shedding process, but the first time didn't look so bad, but maybe I should wait a little, to see what's happen next, the affected area is the last quart of his body, the thing is that I haven't tried to post pics, maybe you can help me out a little with this.
    Thanks a lot!

    No, it's not gushing blood, the blood is dried up, but his belly remained red, and it looks that it's very sensitive right now, Can I give him a warm bath and apply some ointment, or just clean up with some antiseptic?

    Hi,

    Here are a couple of threads on how to post pictures;

    Video tutorial.

    Sticky thread.

    Have you located a good vet near you? It is always a good idea to have one selected just in case he needs to get seen in a hurry.
