    Do BPs spray?

I am looking into getting a ball python some time in the future and would like to know if BPs spray like some other snakes.

I used to have a milksnake who would spray quite a lot and it made for an unpleasant experience every time I handled him.

So, do they spray at all?
    Goodbye,

Not that I have ever seen. Been peed on but not out of a defense.

I think most reptiles have the ability to "musk"

Hmmm...none of mine have ever done what I would call spraying. My gf, however, has been peed on on several occasions. And if you point the snakes behind just right, it kind of sprays as she found out in trying to put the snake back!

No they don't and I absolutely hate that about milksnakes!

They don't generally musk - but they can (according to Deborah, who's been musked - GROSS she says! LOL)

    Re: Do BPs spray?

I've had a BP spray, but from the other end. We had just taken him to the vet, and he had to get a shot for an RI, after his shot and being put back in his container, he spit some water out of his mouth in protest of having to go to the vet. Or at least that's what it seemed like!
