Is it OK for the male to be larger than the female when breeding?

I know it's pretty common to breed a larger female to a smaller male.

1500 grams is the widely accepted weight for a female to breed. If your male is bigger than that, go for it! That must be a huge male.

I've seen some BIG males. I saw one at a reptile show easily topping 3,000 grams. I don't see why it will be an issue.

OK, I was concerned there might be a problem with mating him to a female almost half his size.

And here we thought our 1600 gram boy was big. Fortunately we got him as he is the only one doing anything this year. Generally speaking he locks 6-12 hours after being put with a girl. All our other males refuse to even look interested. About the most interest they get is when the big girls lay on top of them and squish em!
