Well as much as we are quite happy with our two bp clutches, we've been anxiously awaiting the arrival of the next three from Brannagh, Orlah and Kyna. I palpitated them today as Brannagh is well overdue for her clutch and since I was checking her I thought I'd check the other two.
I can feel the eggs in Kyna (she's a normal bred to our 100% het Albino male, Malachi) so all seems to be going along well there.
Both Brannagh and Orlah however felt empty....nothing....bit of a disappointment there. Just for a try, we put Riordan our male YB whose fathered both our current clutches in with Orlah. They immediately locked up - good solid lock, couldn't ask for better so I guess it's for sure that Orlah never caught the first go round.
After Riordan's rested from being with Orlah, we'll rotate him in with Brannagh and hopefully still get clutches from our two biggest females this year. Wish us luck there please folks. Funny how you think it's going to be a for sure with the big girls and it's the slightly smaller females that are getting the job done for us this year (though by slightly smaller I mean they were all in the 1,600 to 1,800 range as compared to Brannagh and Orlah who are 3,400 and 2,800 grams respectively).
