New member and new python momma

Evening! The awesome members over at Pacific Northwest Herpetological Society ( www.pnwhs.org ) suggested I head over this way for even MORE info on my new ball python, Draco.
I'm Kimmy, married, stay at home mom of two boys, and keeper of a small zoo Draco is the latest addition to our family, here in Arlington WA. He's (we think he's a he) a 3 year old ball python who needed a new family to take care of him. I don't think he was getting the attention and/or care he deserved, and he seems to be adjusting fine to us since we picked him up on Friday.
He's a sweet snake, loves to be handled and to cuddle, and ate a f/t medium rat the night we got him! His previous owner said they hadn't been able to get him to eat for the last few weeks.
My 15 year old son says Draco is "his" but boy oh boy am I smitten!

Off to wander around the forum... nice to "meet" ya'll!

hey it looks like he has a stuck shed... you might try soaking him in some lukewarm water for a bit and trying to get it off

Yea, that was the day we brought him home. He's worked some of it off himself already, I've found bits and pieces in his tank. I think I might try and soak him a little bit tomorrow, since he shows no interest in soaking in his water bowl...
