    How do you watch movies??

Just wanted to see how many people have blu-rays, hd dvd, plain old dvds, or prehistoric vhs.

I have a sharp aquios blu-ray playing on a 48in. samsung lcd (1080P) and blasting a bose lifestyle home theater.

No need to go to the movie theaters anymore.

I have a 37 inch lcd (720 p). Right now I just have a regular dvd player but in the next few weeks will be getting a ps3 so then I'll have blueray. Sound comes from a 1000 watt 7.1 onkyo stereo. The stereo is one step down from the THX certified model so pretty decent sound. Not too shabby for a dorm room.

I have a $12K home theater setup and am waiting for Blu-ray to become more prevalent before switching from dvd and committing to it. Once it does I'll drop the money for a Blu-ray player and a new 1080p plasma display.

None of the above. 1080P MKV files played on my home-theater PC/Projector.

I didn't vote because more than one apply. I have my DVD with component output hooked to my 37" 780p TV. I also have a laptop with HD-DVD (I bought it not long before they announced the HD-DVD was being discontinued) that I also connect to my 37" via HDMI.

Re: How do you watch movies??

We used to have a projector which made the "screen" 72" by 60" but we don't have it anymore. These days we either use the DVD player (it's the portable kind so it's not that big) for DVDs or the color monitor (I think we've had it since the early '90s) for video casettes.
P.S. In order to "nostagialize" you even more, I'll tell you that we don't have television.
