I've had Buddy for around 7 months now. He used to be VERY jumpy and nippy back 4-5 months ago and has calmed down a lot. But he is still very jumpy. At times he would snap back so hard (from someone walking around him or trying to take him out) that he would smack his head onto something. He's also somewhat of a hisser...has struck at me once around 5 months ago, never since tho.I can easily pick him up from any position....it's just that sometimes he snaps his head back and might injure himself.

So I guess my question is...does anyone else own a snake similar to mine (Mine is about 8-9 months old, around 30 inches and 400 grams) that never got tame? Well...tame is the wrong word. He's pretty tame but very nervous I guess. Scared...snappy...jumpy.

Btw...his feeding response is great. Hasn't refused a meal yet. Temperature is 80F cold side, 90 warm side. Two hides, water bowl...tub...good humidity.
