A couple ovulations from last night

These 2 girls both ovulated last night. Both have been glowing like mad! They look like a mojave and a hypo, but both are normals, I promise.

First girl is a very highly anticipated clutch. 04 normal x cinny. Big Ovulation here, any guesses to how many eggs? I wasnt able to palpate this girl so I dont know. Hoping for around 8.

This girl has 3 eggs in her, and was bred to my double het VPI snow. She's an 04 as well.

    Now the waiting continues.

Randy, when you get closer to a lay date, you'll be able to more accurately count eggs. My last one to lay (around June 8) has been impossible for me to palpate, so I'm waiting patiently to get a good palp on her!

Those are follicles. They are hard, like marbles. After ovulation, they are eggs. Eggs are big and a little softer.

Thanks Drew and Rab and Shawn

This particular female has never really relaxed well for me to palpate her. One of my other females I palped easily months before ovulation and after as well and had an accurate count all the way through.

Another female was difficult but a week or two before she laid, I got an accurate count of the eggs. I get different numbers each time I palp this particular girl. So in a week or two, I'll have an accurate count of what I'm expecting.
