    Scale rot--HELP

    i think my BP is developing scale rot. her underbelly is REAALY pink and starting to turn brown in areas HELP me Please and suggestions. my bedding is dry my humidty is at 65%. Please help any meds from a local pet store???? HELPPP!!!

    Put a picture up. Make a vet appt. Not necessarily in that order

    Do you have an under tank heater? How are you controlling it if you do use one. It could be a burn. What kind of substrate do you use? How often is it changed/inspected? A vet is always the best choice in a situation like this, but until then - take out your substrate and replace with paper towel or newspaper. Apply a triple-antibiotic ointment such as neosporin with NO PAIN KILLERS in it.

    If her belly is REALLY pink, she could just be in shed, BUT if it "starting to turn brown" in some areas that would worry me, make a vet appt and post a picture.
