    mojave rattlesnake

im doing an individual project for my field biology project on any animal in So Cal and i picked the mojave rattlesnake(Crotalus scrutulatus). well so far i have some plenty of info, but i wanna know if anyone else out there has links to the HISTORY of the mojave rattlesnake, like maybe evolution history and who discovered it. and if anyone has one in captivity, it'd be nice if you wouldnt mind sharing your pics so i can put them in my project(copyrighted of course, with first and last name).

    thanks

Have you tried posting this thread in the venomous forum? I am sure the people there would be able to help you out with your project.

    Good luck.

    go here

    www.thereptileroom.org

It's a site where almost everyone is a hot keeper.

They'll have the info you want if anyone does.

Also you might try www.swhs.org, the Southwestern Herpetological Society.

    Also, the species is scutulatus.

They are a very alert snake with a highly variable colour, the most toxic venom of the Ca. rattlesnakes and an attitude that says they are aware of that fact.

I've kept them and they are a neat snake, but it's been years and I don't have clue what happened to the pics I had back then. It was before we all had digital cameras.
I may not be very smart, but what if I am?
