    A New Ride

Yesterday morning I went to start my 98 monte carlo with 100k+ miles on it. No dice. I'd been driving that stupid thing for at least 8 years. For the last three years I'd been telling myself "I'm getting a new car next year." Yeah right.

The starter went, which I'm sure was the first of many things to start breaking (it's actually been a reliable car) so instead of fixing it... I bit the bullet and treated myself to this.

It's like a tail-hauling go-kart for adults. LOVE IT, and the gas mileage is FABULOUS!!!!

    Re: A New Ride

My aunt has one - wicked fun to drive!!!! Her's is an older supercharged one, the new ones are turbo, right? Hard to drive without smiling

Gas mileage is awesome, price of an oil change however, is completely rediculous on those cars, don't know if you knew that already, lol

    Re: A New Ride

I drove the regular one, even though it scooted, I was disappointed. I drove the "S" model (the one I brought home), which is the turbo....now that is just stupid fun.

The oil changes ARE expensive, but you only need one every 12,000 miles and I'm covered for all standard maintenance for 3 years. The tires on the other hand....ouch.

Come here little guy. You're awfully cute and fluffy but unfortunately for you, you're made of meat

Oh yeah, I forgot about the run-flats, lol. The warranty on my aunt's just ran out in time for her water pump to go, I think it cost her over 600 bucks. I just put a water pump in my car for less than $50! lol

I would totally look into a Mini if I had the money - you're gonna LOOOOVE it!! Watch your speedo

The FJ is my boyfriend's. It's a really fun drive for an SUV, it handles great and is really quick for its size. My BF loves it.

The blind spots are tough to get used to though, I'm too paranoid to really relax and enjoy driving it because of them.
