    Did I get lucky?

Even though he spends most his time under the water bowl I've gotten him to eat every week. He's striking well and has not lost weight. He's got a weird mood. However, I've not seen problems.

I have never had any problems getting mine to eat either. Mine sure does like to hide alot. Sounds like you are in really good shape as long as he keeps eating and gaining weight.

Let me guess your useing Alpine?
Let me guess further.. Your water dish is on top of the alpine?

Mine did this for a little bit till I stopped it and she moved back to her normal hide. Just remove the flooring so the water dish sits right on the bottom of the tank/tub.

That worked for me. they will try to get back under it but then give up and go to the normal hide(s)..

Good luck. Oh I am sure as long as the temp is good and you have good hides for them. Then all is well.
