Our First Blood

We picked up a blood python last weekend. Sorry the picture is crappy I just took it really quick because my wife wanted to put one up on her facebook. Anyway, here's the picture, I'll get better ones soon.

Thats a cool lookin blood! Was it sold as a Genetic stripe or somethin?

Nope, just a normal. They had a marbled one there, it was gorgeous, but it was a little out of our price range as to what we wanted to spend on a blood right now. Its our first and we figured we'd start with something a little less expensive in case he was harder to deal with than we thought he'd be.

Thanks, we're not really making any plans to breed him as of right now although we're not saying we never will. If I get "blood fever" the way I did with the balls I see us picking up a few more and eventually looking into that. It'd be interesting to see if those traits pass on.

Nice snake, but thats not a Blood Python. Its a Borneo Short-Tail (Python breitensteini). Blood Pythons are Python brongersmai.
