Attached to my son's king literally

Well it took time but I did it I am now attached to my son's King. I am happy to say he is only 1 year old so this was not as bad as it could have been. It must have been feeding time. Plus after 25 min of trying not to hurt him he gave in I was just to big to eat I guess..
    Now thw pics

haha.....kingsnakes will do that from time to time...

Next time just run his head under some cool water instead of letting him eat your finger for 25 minutes

I tried that actually with a mist bottle and it just ticked him off and bit down harder and further..

Re: Attached to my son's king literally

I just brought home an albino king, and my last king snake (grrr escaped) was a mean little bugger. I figured this king would be just as mean, but now that I have a faster, firmer grip, I scoped him up and was proud that he didn`t try to bite me and was very calm. I hope he keeps up the good behavior next week when I can start handling him.

aaw, their so cute when they're young. Maybe a dab of alcohol around/in his mouth would get him off a little faster next time. I keep some close by both reptile enclosures, just in case. :knocks on wood:
