    Woma eggs finally!!...but alas**pics**

After having womas on my "list" for quite a while, we picked this proven pair up late last summer. Everything went smoothly from introduction through ovulation.
    Male

Female basking inverted the day before laying

I found the 13 egg healthy looking clutch laid flat out on the bottom of the tub, and mom was over basking on her own. Not sure what happened, but I wasn't too worried about it, as I had checked on her the previous evening, not even 20 hours earlier, so I figured the eggs would be fine.

I set them up normally, and everything seemed fine at first, but I saw wetness creeping up the inside when I candled them a couple days later. The next day the wetness could be seen on the outside.

Well, a week later and it looks like 4 of the eggs are going to make it,

the other 9 are all but mold.

I'm kinda bummed, but I'm glad some pulled through. Now lets just hope the rest go full term.

I hope those 4 pull through! Did the other 9 have veins when candled?

Thanks Justin. I didn't candle them right when they were laid, and the venation was present but weak in most of the now moldy ones on day three of incubation. The healthier ones had more veins.

Oh Evan, sorry to see most of them didn't make it but hopefully those 4 will do fine for you.

How dry do you need to keep woma eggs? Like in the incubator with bone dry vermiculite?

My friend who has hatched a ton of Woma eggs. Uses perlite and than puts a piece of egg crate on top. Than the womas eggs on top of that. Womas eggs need it humid, but they need to be dry.

This is the method I used. I had a100% hatch rate last year. I hope this helps. Todd
