Non-gamer bought PS3 and GTA IV

I've never been too into video games except for a few series that I liked. GTA was one of them so I went out Saturday and bought GTA IV and a PS3 solely to play it on. I can't day it was worth $500 just to play a game, but so far it's pretty awesome. Anyone else addicted to Liberty City?

I just hope I can find a couple more games to play on it, or a few good movies start coming out only on Blu-Ray so I don't feel like I blew all that money for one game.
What are these mojavas I keep hearing so much about?

I got it for the 360 and love the game. Been a bit disappointed that they took the ability to buy properties away, but overall it has been fun.

Re: Non-gamer bought PS3 and GTA IV

My husband had to burn some extra vacation time, so took off Wednesday, Thursday and Friday to play it (as well as a good chunk of Saturday and Sunday). I watch (and do the clothes shopping). Excellent game! The zillions songs on the different radio stations alone are worth it, the characters interesting and the dialog is hysterical...Rick says he really thinks the city is real. =)

My husband is playing GTA on his PSP right now He does tattoos, but there are sometimes hours in between, and he got this so that he has something to do. Him and the other artists there duel and it occupies them. It is great for times when you have to wait around in your car, etc.

I've been playing it on the 360. None of the previous GTA games grabbed me, but this one is keeping my attention.

Welcome to the gaming world! Way to make a splash! Gratz on the purchases.

I built a whole new computer just to be able to play some of the higher-end PC games that were coming out a few years ago. In fact, I'm seriously considering building another, as the requirements for many of the upper-level games are such that my current computer (amazing as it still is, even a few years old) isn't quite up to snuff. (I'm talking about running the games on the maxed out settings, graphics, etc. My current computer can still play them on slightly lower settings, but I want all the bells and whistles!)

    It can be addictive.

For example; what sized TV are you playing it on? I'm sure it looks great, but wouldn't a nice 36"+ widescreen make it that much nicer?

    *flees!*
This above all: to thine own self be true,
And it must follow, as the night the day,
Thou canst not then be false to any man.
