    Curious python!? OR Attempt at escape!?

    I've gad my ball for about 5 days nows. She seems pretty settled in. My setup is as follows:

    -24"x15"x15 terranium
    -(2) Clay Cave Hide Boxes {One on warm side/one on cold side}
    -Repti Bark Substrate
    - Water Dish (near middle of tank)
    - Tropical Fake plant in corner
    - Big tree Branch over the one hide box on the cold side
    - (1) Dome style light on warmside {has a 65 watt red bulb}
    - (2) Digital Thermometer's {one on lower warmside/one on lower coolside *thermometer on warmside has a humidity gauge too*
    - Zoomedic manual thermostat
    -under tank heater on warmside {covers only a lil over a 1/4 of tank}

    Everything as far as temps and humidty are great! But she seems to be out n' about the past couple days when i come home from work (around 7ish pm - 9). There was a few times that she would run her nose up n' down the seems at a few of the corners of the cage. Is that normal!? Is she trying to get out because of not being happy, etc?? Does anyones ball do this? Thanks alot everyone!

    I'd say s/he is just settling in, or maybe your snake is just a little more curious. Snakes have different personalities too. When I first got mine he did that for a few days.

    If she looks pale or her eyes are blueish, she could be going into shed, in which case she would rub on stuff to try and slough off the shed skin. Other than that, just exploring probably.

    Probably just adjusting to a new setting and exploring. Mine did that Saturday night when I brought him home.

    Never thought about him being hungry thought like someone else said yours might be. Have yet to feed mine since I want to get my temps right and it appears he is going into shed(eye caps are kinda hazy tonight)

    yah its 9:12 pm here, and ever since about 6:45 pm shes been out moving around, running her body up and down the glass and going under and over everything lol. She has been doing that thing alot where she stands up about half way up in the air moving around and looks like shes looking at stuff outside the cage.lol Is all this normal for my ball? Sorry with all the up to date questions, i just wanna make sure everythings A-OK for my baby lol

    Re: Curious python!? OR Attempt at escape!?

    sounds pretty normal to me.

    when my temps and humidity were all wacked out, my ball would never come out at night

    Now that my temps and humidity are perfect, he comes out every night exploring, climbing on stuff and trying to escape, in which he actually suceeded once.
    maybe he just appreciates the setup so much he doesn't wanna waste the day under his hide
