    Re: Ball acting weird

Sounds like it is stressed out.

Please describe your setup (i.e. heating, lighting, hides, etc.)

I agree with Daniel. Could you also describe how long you've had him, where his cage is located, and how much do you handle him?

    Re: Ball acting weird

If he is not eating, moving around constantly, and nosing through the substrate......My thought is that the snake is very very stressed.

It is very understandable that the snake is stressed out after being hung around your neck for hours while you are rocking out.

If you stop being so aggressive with the handling, the snake should settle back down if that is the only issue causing it to be stressed.

Also, male ball pythons generally stop feeding around breeding time. However, with the warmer weather moving in on most of the country he should be about to snap out of that....if that is another contributing factor.

It could be a buildup of stress. I would give it a break for awhile in order to get him eating again.

He is hanging onto your neck to fell secure. Snakes are not dogs. They get no personal enjoyment from being around your neck. As far as the snake is concerned, you are giant heated up tree
