Iris 6 qt hatchling box dimensions

Okay this is driving me nuts! I cannot find the exact measurements of the Iris 6 qt box no matter how hard I google. Does anyone have any handy that they could just run and measure for me.

I'm trying to sort out the new hatchling rack and have other box dimensions but not the Iris one for their 6 qt shoeboxes.

    Thanks!

Yep I think those are the ones! Thanks so much Evan. I need to run to the store and pick some up but I'm sitting here trying to design a hatchling rack around boxes that I didn't have the right dimensions for. That's enough to drive a saint nuts!

Ummmm you wouldn't want to come build me a hatchling rack would ya Evan dear?

Sure, right after I finish building racks to house an extra 50 or so hatchlings here....

What type of rack are you going with?

Re: Iris 6 qt hatchling box dimensions

Well one of our members, Halfdawg, builds these amazing no cuts needed racks out of melamine shelving.

    http://www.ball-pythons.net/forums/s...=688939#688939

So I was trying to figure out if I could do something similar either with 6 qt or 15 qt tubs for our upcoming hatchlings. I'm tempted to go 15 qt since I remember Adam saying those are nice because you don't have to move the hatchlings up again too soon in tub size. I have Iris 15 qts here so I just have to trot off to Home Depot and see what the heck they have in various sizes of pre-made melamine shelving.

Well it's either that or kidnap Richard (HalfDawg) and lock him in my basement until he knocks out some racks for me.

Re: Iris 6 qt hatchling box dimensions

If you need me to I can get the actual dimensions of both of those when I get home this evening. The dimensions they list on for sale sites usually include the lid. I started one of my racks before I got the tubs then realized that and had to start all over.

Lucky for me I have 12 shoe boxes, 20 15 qt sweater boxes, 4 32qt sweater boxes, 6 CB-70's, and a 4 unit display rack with dimensions that put it right inbetween the 32 qt and the CB-70's. Then only 14 ball pythons of which only 2 are large enough to breed. I figure even if I get really lucky and each has 8 eggs and all 8 hatch that puts me at 30 ball Pythons. 42 enclosures minus 30 Ball pythons means I could leave my shoe boxes empty still!

I still need to finish the 10 unit CB-70 rack I have planned next.
