    12x12x18

I have an exo terra that is 12x12x18. I was wondering what could possibly live in it besides frogs and cresteds as we dont like having to mess with crickets very often... what type of reptile (small snake/lizard) could live in it comfortably for its entire life?

for example... the setup/place so it would be a visual animal and yes, i know that tank is SMALL but we would like to use it for something other than a nice planter

I wonder if an African house snake wouldn't grow out of that...

according to this they can live in a 10gal... i dont even know where we would look to acquire one, wonder if our breeder buddy gets them often... they sure are pretty! the red phase is BEAUTIFUL.

what about hognose?? from what ive read they can be housed in a 10gal also...? wonder if they could do well in a tall tank like that... time to get researching!

A male house might be ok....but a female would outgrow it. The females will get about the size of a cornsnake.

Yeah, that vertically-oriented cage isn't really good for fossorial species like houses and west hoggies. I had the same cage once and I had a Solomon Island (Pacific) dwarf boa, Candoia c. carinata in it. They only reach 24" in length and mine did quite well in it.

Do you mind keeping a fruit fly colony? You could get a couple of those blue, green, yellow, etc dart frogs. They would look great in that type of setup and the flightless fruit flies arent hard to keep. Just a suggestion cuz it would seriously look awesome
