    In a Delima( large post)

Yup... another what to get post. but its a little different this time, I know what I would like to get, just when and how many with what my price range is.

Heres what ive been pondering over, when i go to Daytona this august I know that I'll be bringing at the very least $2000, and the most being $4000-$5000 ( saving as much as I can from my job) And my what to get next list is
    A. Adult female pewter
    B. 2 or 3 more adult black pastels( already have one on deposit) 3. Female adult Lesser

Now, of coarse the Pewter female is going to cost a truck load, but when she breeds with my Lesser I should make it all back with the Silver black platinums( + pewters are HOT) and if Daytona has one, i'll be drooling over it.

Now lets say i hold off on the pewter and get the black pastels + the lesser female seeing that the three would be a little harder to find one the season starts( or at least the lesser and one black) and got the Pewter a few months later, skip next breeding season if I get her too late after QT can be done properly for her to breed.

I'm pulling my hair out over this! I keep switching over from plan a(pewter) to plan b(others) for different reasons.

could you post what and why i should should get ???? The pewter is a little more based on how much I take with me too

I think finding adult females might be a challenge - but then I haven't been shopping them.

I'd just recommend going to Daytona with an open mind - enjoy the experience, and expect to walk away with nothing - so that if you DO find something - it will be that much better.

I never go expecting to bring home an animal - in fact, I didn't bring any home last year. But I too will be going with some extra cash this year, and will keep my options open.

Yeah, ive got a backup plan. If I do not find the adults or subadults, im going to try to find the baby or juvie forms and when I get back home do some shopping around.

I think a HUGE thing you have to ask yourself is "what can I produce myself"? If you have some black pastels, why not stud service a male pastel? It shouldn't be hard to find. Or, for $100, just get one yourself. I think a pewter would be worth producing rather than buying. Personally, I think the double-doms are over-priced. I can justify spending $2k on a piebald because I simply can't produce one. Am I gonna spend $1500 on a bee? No way, I've got pastels and spiders myself.

Now, a lesser, that you can't pull out of thin air so it would seem more logical to buy that.

Well, The thing is I really want the pewter to get head start on the Pewter platinum. And my black pastels are also all going to my Lesser

agreed have a back up plan but stick with your gut feeling. I have always found that with anything in life, and with snakes, that your initial feeling is usually the best one to go with.
