    A couple new boas

I am one lucky girl, let me tell you that.
For the last few months I've been looking around for a nice salmon male to breed with my female when she's up to size. I had found a few Canadian breeders that had some, but they were at least $400 plus a small fortune for shipping, so I had almost given up and was about to buy a pair of het albino bp's, when I see an add posted on kijiji for snakes for sale. I happened to notice a couple of boas in the pictures so I sent the guy an e-mail and just randomly asked if he happened to have any salmon boas for sale, expecting him to say no. Well he e-mailed me back, and not only did he have a salmon, he had a proven male.

So I went out tonight to see him since the guy couldn't send pictures because his computer was down, expecting to find either just a nice normal or a low grade salmon, but he ended up being much nicer than I expected. He's 6-7 feet, completely tame, very clean pattern, and to top it all off, he's actually a DH sunglow and was used by one of the breeders I had been looking at buying a baby from.

Then as I was getting ready to leave the guy asked me if I was interested in a 4 foot female from the same breeder. She's an Aby line, but she's going into shed, so I can't tell if she's a reallllly nice normal or a lower grade salmon (she has an overall pale orange body tone and bright pink and orange sides and an orange belly). But she's extremly clean, not a single freckle, same as the male. If she's not a salmon herself she's going to make some killer salmons when bred to this guy.

Anyway, I don't have any pictures yet as they spent an hour in the car and I just wanted to get them into their enclosures to warm up, but I'll get some tomorrow even though both snakes are in shed. I'm just reallly excited as things like this don't tend to happen to me.
