    Setup~My enclosure so far..

Here is what I have so far.

Need - Humidity dials, digital thermometer

I'm going to buy new substrate(aspen), a smaller/wider water dish, and some trees for inside. Any suggestions?

Looking good so far! A few things to help you out though. Your hides should be identical, so either both rock or both zilla hides. This way your bp will not choose one over the other for security, as compared to choosing one over the other for thermo-regulating (which is the point of having a warm hide and a cool hide)

Is your UTH controlled? A rheostat (something that manually reduces the power output of a UTH using a dial or slider, like a lamp dimmer) or a thermostat (automatically controls the power output of the UTH and adjusts the temp accordingly) is an absolute must as UTHs will sky-rocket to over 110 degrees uncontrolled (Ive tried it)

Accurately measuring humidity and temperatures is very important. DO NOT buy dial gauges. They are not reliable, often stick at one reading, and are over-priced. You can purchase an Accurite digital thermometer/hygrometer from wal-mart for $12 and it is used and recommended by many members on this site. These devices use a probe to measure an "outdoor temp" and the device measures humidity.

Your water bowl looks fine to me, but a larger one would assist with raising the overall humidity. Your bp does not need a bowl big enough to soak in, they only soak if something is wrong (like an infestation of mites or the humidity is way too low) You should consider covering the two sides with something like the background you have there, or cover them in plants (on the inside AND/OR the outside of the tank) This adds security and helps your bp feel less exposed.

Your temps should be low 80s cool side, low 90s warm side. Ambient temp should also be low 80s. Humidity 50-60%.

Everything is looking great so far, ask as many questions as you need to, we are here to help you and your herps!!

I have to agree with missi182, it is crucial to control the UTH somehow. I thought mine was fine, and it turned out to be running over 115 degrees! Also, the Accu-Rite is great, I have three and they work wonderfully.

No problem at all! If you have any questions while you are adding to your enclosure, post more threads or ask around. It is simple to tell someone what they may need to change but making those changes is not always so simple
