    coincedence?

i dont know if this is a coincedence or what but i was getting ready to feed my bp so i was getting his feeding tub out and setup and as soon as i took it out he was out of his hide like he knew whats about to happen.i didnt even have the rat in the room yet so i dont think he smelt it.is it possible he knows the tub means food?it was soo wierd that as soon as the tub came out he came out at the exact same time.

He was probably just hungry and noticed your movement. When feeding day comes around over here some of my snakes are already in their "striking pose" when I open their tubs, regardless if there are rodents in the vicinity.

This is one reason why routines are so important on feeding day. If you do the same thing in the same order each week - they become conditioned to know what certain things mean. It's one of the reasons that I feed my animals in the exact same order each week. The "kids" know when they hear/feel tubs sliding in and out above them - dinner's being served.

I do feed in the enclosure though, always have, even when I only had one snake.
