92F and 78F...As close as I can get (help)

I have a sterilite tub with a controlled UTH, .75" of Aspen, no overhead light or heat.
Humidity is steady now at 59%

The warm side is 92 F under the aspen in the warm hide.
The cool side is 78 F ambient and in the cool hide.

The Room temp stays at 75.5 F

I have to work on my computer in there so I really don't want to raise the room temp (I live in Oregon and 75 is hot for us)

Is this going to be close enough for healthy living quarters?

Thanks to everyone for the help and guidance so far!!!

I know a lot of people swear by 80 degrees cool side, but the Barkers in their book say down to upper 70's is fine. I shoot for 80, anyone have any first-hand experience?

You could try a 25 watt "party light" (blue/purple/red bulb available for $1.00 at pretty much anywhere) just kind of pointing down at his tub to warm the air around it. Obviously don't melt it and don't cook him, but this could work. You may have to mess around with the right distance, get one of those clamp on domes. Warming one side of the tub could kick up the cool side that extra 2 degrees.

That's fine dude. I used to average 79-83 cool side and 90-94 warm side. My snake is as healthy as it gets. Right now my cool side is only 70 and he's still fine (my 2nd UTH failed! )

You are fine. During the breeding cycles some breeders drop the temps down at night for their snakes into the 70's and that is hot side temps.

You should be fine - my apartment is also cool, and the cool side of my enclosures is upper 70's as well. Try not to let it drop much more and your snake should be fine!

Thanks for the input everyone. I figured he could just move to somewhere in the middle for a warmer but not too warm spot.

    Thanks,

As with all other responses, your snake ought to do well~~~ especially with all those negative ions coming off the water at the coast!!! What beach are you near?? We love getting over the mountains and going to the coast!!!!

Actually I am in Portland, however I just put "The Beach" down in the profile because I am getting ready to move to Charleston, SC.
And I figured I might forget to change it.
