in my experience males fast more, seems natural since they dont need the body mass females do.

Cool Re: males go off feed more than females?

My spider who is 476 grams stopped eating for 2 weeks now, i put a 55 gram rat in for 20 mins if he dont take it , i remove it and offer him food the next week. sooner or later he will eat. Patience is the key.

all of my males go off feed for a really long time. What I do is put a blanket over the entire cage and give them a week of no handling so they aren't so stressed them give em their food out the blanket over again and give em how ever long it takes.

Males definitely fast more. In my experience, the males that I have when they come off the fast, they are ready to eat anything and everything they can get.
