    Question Breeding tooooo young

I have a friend who has a pair bp's and he bred them already my issue with it is that the female is only about 900 grams () give or take a few. is there a possibility this will hurt her or will she just not develop eggs. I would really like to know I told him not to but he said he knows people who do it all the time. Well I guess either way if she is gravid theres nothing to do about it now. thanks.

She could become egg bound and die, or not develop at all..

There are a lot of possibilities.

Oh man, major bummer. Sorry to hear of this.... Is she just a little thing but mature otherwise?

thats what I told him and he doesn't believe me i'm hoping more ppl post and I could show him the forums and see if he believes me then. He had good intentions but his mind was not in the right place. I hope shes ok not only for her sake but I love me some fresh little baby snakes. Way more cute than a stupid hairy puppy or kitten IMO (although they are cute too hehe)

Yeah, that may be pushing it a bit...

But lets hope nothing comes of it.

    Re: Breeding tooooo young

I have been wanting to breed my girl sooo bad but she just isnt ready and I wish I would have known about my buddy earlier and I would have made him wait. I hopw next season my girl will be ready Well I guess its a waiting game by then my pastel male will be ready too I could cycle out my norm and pastel to increase the chances of babies ( dont care if they are all normal I just want little babies ) This is what I look like when I see baby snakes or reps in general

    Re: Breeding tooooo young

What is the bare minimum that you guys would personally breed your snakes bare minimum age and weight that is. I really don/t wanna be like my buddy and jump into things too early. I have always gone by the 3rd season or about 13-1400 gram rule. (never bred before though so I dont know if this is ok.

Maybe we should hope something does come out of it?

Something means the possibility of death. I would rather go with nothing.
