    Red face Punnett Square Trouble

I have a male piebald. I'm having an evening of substandard mental focus so I'm looking for the people who are good with the P-squares!

If I bred my pie with a double het for albino/pie what would I get? I'm thinking of picking a female up here soon.

Secondly, does anybody know where I can get a breeding pair of double het for snowball?

For breeding pairs of Het for snow you may talk to Ralph Davis, but be ready to pay out the nose. I got a 06 male that is Double het for VPI snow from him. He is a great snake! But a female able to breed that is double het for VPI snow is going to cost you a small fortune! A cheaper route is going joeliff, but that will cost you also. I got the male and a het for VPI axanthic female and an Albino, so I have lots of options to play with to get there and a good method of keeping the inbreeding to a minimum.

Where you could really make this interesting is if your piebald male was actually 100% het albino also.... then the possibilities would be INSANE!

But with that breeding if he gets a male pied out of the breeding it has a 50% chance of actually being het for Albino. Within a year he could breed it back to the female double het and then things could be interesting. If he at least gets an Albino out of the breeding then he knows the male is 100% het and can try again the following year knowing it is possible. If he gets really lucky and the pied male is het for albino he has a 1 in 8 chance!

Louis nailed it, genotypically. However, phenotypically speaking, you will get 2 animals. Pieds that are 50% Poss. Het for Albino, and Het Pieds that are 50% Poss. Het for Albino.
