our new jungle carpet ate! thanks to those who gave us advice!

we adopted/rescued at new jungle carpet, pete, who is about six and a half feet, and he hadn't eaten since december 19th, although he'd been offered rats multiple times. we only got him a week ago (march 8th) and waited a week before we offered him a rat, to let him get used to his new home, and also because we suspected an RI. we got him a live medium rat, prescented the room, and he ate within 15 seconds of dropping the rat into his other tank we use to feed our snakes! we are SO excited to see him eat, and cant wait to get to know him better!

thanks to everyone who gave us advice about him!!

Yeah! That is so awesome! I don't think he was given up for not eating; I think he stopped eating b/c he was living in a home that was destined to give him up. Does that make sense? Anyway, I am so glad for you.

    How is his RI?

we got him a 60-gallon with lots of big branches around for him to climb up, but he mostly just sits in the one right below his light so he can bask. we think he really really loves his new tank, and who could blame him, his last one was NOTHING like what he needed. thanks again!
