Going to make Daytona '08 a week long trip
My fiance and I were talking and decided we need to stop doing these little 2-day "vacations" where we kind of "get away from it all" but really never do, so we are going to make going down to Daytona a week long trip and hopefully set up a few days in Orlando to visit Islands of Adventure, Universal Studios, and Seaworld. I'm watching videos of all the rides and it brings back so many good memories (I went to Orlando twice with my marching band back when I was in highschool.)
Now I can't wait to go and its not till August. Arg! Why can't Daytona be sooner?

I've been to Universal before and by far it is my favorite park.
Nathenledet, you live in Orlando. How is it to live there. My dream job is to work for Seaworld and since we can't move to Cali, Florida is my only other choice. So are hurricanes a big issue?

I really like it here, aside from the traffic. but I learned how to avoid it
Hurricanes haven't been an issue since i've lived here for the past 2 years (knock on wood...it's almost that time of year again)

We did that trip for Daytona '07, a few days in Daytona, followed by most of a week in Orlando at Universal.
Our last day, we went to Kennedy, which was, other than the show itself, the most interesting part of the entire trip. If we go again, we'll avoid Orlando like the plague, and just hike up and down the coast instead.
