    Egeria RI update.

Just thought I should give an update on the RI condition of our big girl, Egeria. I posted about this a couple weeks ago. She had her follow up yesterday and the vet says the RI appears to be gone. He did note a slight excess in salivia and wants another check up in 2 more weeks to make sure nothing else is happening. He believes it may be due to the fact she with all the needles and stuff she has been really stressed out and hasn't eaten since we got her due to really being stressed out. (Sounds like she needs to see a shrink to learn how to reduce stress! ) Over the next two weeks we have to do whatever we can to get her to start eating while also minimizing stress as much as possible. Hopefully on the next check up she will have a clean bill of health.

On a side note the remainder of all our snakes went at the same time and all of them were given clean bills of health.

Also all our Ranco's came in so now I should be able to get to work wiring the incubator up and finish the hobby breeding center project I have been working on. Once it is done I'll get pictures up for everyone!

    Re: Egeria RI update.

I was too even though she probably hates me for holding her a little forcefully to keep the upper third of her body straight while my wife stuck her with a needle for 7 days straight. She can take get her revenge and bite me next time I handle her, it is only fair and if I'm going to get bit one of these times she has the most justification for doing it! At least after she bites me if a little one ever latches on it will not surprise me as much!

All and all I think she is going to be a great girl. She really didn't start fighting a little until around day six of the injections. We will give her a chance to eat then give her the next 5 to 6 days to relax with nothing more than fresh water and clean bedding.
