Pine
I just got Pine shavings for my rats can I use it for my snakes also? I know cedder is'nt good

Nope only small bags of aspan I'm almost 100% sure Ed uses Pine for snakes

No Ed uses aspen for his snakes and pine for his rats..LOL

Pine is fine as long as it isn't super fresh, so fresh that it's still sappy.
Also, keep it out of the water bowl. Turpines will be released by fresh pine if it gets soaked and these are bad for snakes.
Other than that, I've only been using it for few decades without problems.

Wouldn't it be in risk of getting soaked frequently? Snakes tip their water bowls over. Snakes climb into their water bowls and slosh water everywhere. Snakes drag themselves over the bowls and drop shavings into the water, as well as sloshing it out of the bowl. Snakes pee and soak their bedding on a regular basis.

I dont know. I dont see why it would hurt them its not like cedder.

Not trying to throw sand but is it wroth the risk. If so and people are willing to try it and don't have any problems  but as for me I wont risk it.
