    leaving thawed rat in tank

    well once again my bp refused to eat his thawed rat.i put him back and i put the rat in his tank.how long can i leave it in there for.its been thawing out since 7am so its been 12 hours thawing.and i have coconut bark as a substate is this going to be a problem thanks

    It might be a good idea to place it on a napkin to avoid getting a lot of substrate on the rat if your snake decides to eat it. Other than that, I would suggest taking it out before you go to bed. If you leave it in over night you'll probably wake up to a pretty stinky rat.

    ok last time left one in there a=i tossed it when he was resting his head on it
