Heater havoc
Argh! I was sitting drawing about half an hour ago. I had the heat on 73 in the house as usual; it is a drafty farmhouse. Well, I noticed that it was a bit chilly. The furnace is not on! I usually just press a button on it to reignite, but two of the wires are discoed and I am not about to touch those. Gas is on fine; stove works.
The hubby is on his way home. I had to interrupt him in the middle of a tattoo! He finished and left work early.. Meantime, I put up a few heavy blankets to somewhat insulate the central dining room/snakeroom. In there I put our bedroom fan space heater and it is keeping things ok, but I could not go much longer like this because it is COLD and windy out and so drafty. Get home fast, Marky! Everyone's UTHs are working fine, and I have about every light in the house on.. planning on lighting some large candles too.

Re: Heater havoc
Gadzooks! It is only 68 in here.. Luckily I put another blanket over the front of the rack, and the ambient temps in the tubs are staying good because the UTHs' heat is heating them, in combination with the blanket and space heater. Please say a prayer to the snakie gods that my hubby gets home fast!

Re: Heater havoc
This is not looking good. We might have to move everyone upstairs into our LL's apartment; he has electric heating up there. Wow.. I am mad that we had not yet installed our gas wall heater. Man this stinks..

Re: Heater havoc
If I was around I would help you out. I was an electrician in the Airforce for 4 years and now am an electrical engineer. Could get things up and running in no time. Biggest thing is your blower motor is probably drawing to much current becouse it is probably old and starting to wear out. Had it happen hear once and I wasn't home. Wife had to call an HVAC company and pay for an emergency responce. Cost like $600.00, but he had the heat back on in less than an hour after he showed up.
